Mendero - (Romantic)
The One-Storey Romantic Villa is an intimate, contemporary retreat designed to create a relaxing and elegant atmosphere for couples seeking privacy, comfort, and a memorable getaway. The villa features a minimalist architectural design complemented by soft, neutral tones, warm ambient lighting, natural wood accents, and expansive black-framed glass doors. Its thoughtfully arranged bedroom and lounge area connect visually to a private outdoor patio and poolside setting, creating a seamless relationship between indoor comfort and outdoor relaxation.
Scope of work
The proposed project scope includes architectural design, interior space planning, exterior façade development, lighting design, material and finish selection, furniture layout, and outdoor landscape coordination. The design incorporates a comfortable sleeping area, intimate lounge space, entertainment area, private patio, large glass openings, and decorative exterior screening to enhance privacy and aesthetic appeal.
Client requirement
The primary design objective is to create a romantic, cozy, and private villa experience that combines modern comfort with a peaceful, resort-inspired atmosphere. The design emphasizes a spacious and inviting bedroom, soft and warm lighting, comfortable furnishings, and a seamless visual connection to the surrounding outdoor environment. Privacy is also an essential consideration, allowing guests to enjoy the outdoor patio and poolside views while maintaining a secluded and intimate setting.
Site or construction challenge
The main design challenge involves creating a spacious and luxurious atmosphere within a compact, single-storey layout while ensuring privacy, functionality, and visual balance. Integrating large glass doors and windows requires careful consideration of natural lighting, ventilation, and privacy, particularly in areas facing the outdoor patio and adjacent structures. Another consideration is coordinating the minimalist exterior, decorative lattice screening, arched architectural elements, and interior finishes to achieve a cohesive design. The incorporation of warm ambient lighting, comfortable furniture, and a functional circulation layout is equally important in creating an intimate atmosphere without overcrowding the available space.
Abante's solution
Abante Builders Inc. developed a romantic, contemporary villa concept that emphasizes simplicity, elegance, privacy, and relaxation. The exterior showcases a clean architectural façade featuring a gently sloping roof, neutral wall finishes, a warm, wood-textured arched entrance door, and a decorative lattice screen that provides visual interest while enhancing privacy. Inside, the villa features a comfortable queen- or king-style bed arrangement with upholstered headboard detailing, soft, neutral bedding, and coordinated bedside lighting. A curved, upholstered sofa provides an intimate lounge area, while a wooden entertainment console complements the overall warm and contemporary interior palette. Large, black-framed glass doors create a visual connection between the bedroom and private outdoor patio, allowing natural light to brighten the space while offering relaxing views of the surrounding landscape and poolside environment. Warm, recessed ceiling lights and subtle exterior wall lighting establish a cozy atmosphere, especially during evening use. The combination of light-colored flooring, neutral walls, natural wood accents, and carefully selected furnishings creates a sophisticated yet welcoming environment. The result is a charming, one-storey romantic villa that blends contemporary elegance, intimate comfort, and resort-inspired relaxation—offering a private and memorable retreat designed for rest, connection, and peaceful living.
