QPC - Resort Villa
Two-Storey Tropical Resort Villa. The proposed two-storey resort villa is designed as a contemporary tropical retreat that combines modern architectural character with a warm, natural resort atmosphere. The design focuses on creating a comfortable private villa that maximizes indoor-outdoor living and takes advantage of the surrounding landscape and pool area. The exterior features a modern tropical architectural language, characterized by a pitched roof with generous eaves, warm wood accents, large glazed openings, and clean white exterior walls. The combination of wood, dark-framed windows, and neutral finishes creates a relaxed yet sophisticated resort aesthetic.
Scope of work
The project scope covers the design and construction of a two-storey tropical resort villa, including architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, mechanical, and interior works. The project includes the construction of the villa structure, foundation, reinforced concrete works, masonry, roofing, exterior walls, windows, doors, balconies, and other architectural features based on the approved design. The works also include the interior finishing and fit-out of the villa, such as flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, painting, doors, built-in cabinets, lighting fixtures, bathroom finishes, and selected furniture and decorative elements. The interior design follows a warm and minimalist tropical resort concept using natural wood tones, neutral colors, and contemporary finishes. The project includes the installation of the required electrical, plumbing, sanitary, and mechanical systems, including water supply, drainage, sanitary piping, electrical distribution, lighting, convenience outlets, air-conditioning provisions, bathroom exhaust, and other necessary building services. Finally, the scope includes testing, inspection, cleaning, correction of deficiencies, completion of punch-list items, and final turnover of the completed two-storey resort villa to the owner.
Client requirement
The client envisioned a modern, comfortable, and resort-inspired residence that would provide a relaxing environment for everyday living and leisure. Key priorities included spacious and functional interiors, private bedrooms, natural lighting and ventilation, a swimming pool, and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The design also needed to maintain privacy while incorporating warm, elegant finishes that complement the tropical setting.
Site or construction challenge
The primary challenge was integrating multiple residential functions and recreational amenities within a compact building footprint while maintaining efficient circulation and comfortable living spaces. The incorporation of a swimming pool, upper-level balcony, large glazed openings, and extended roof overhangs required careful architectural and structural coordination to balance functionality, privacy, weather protection, and visual appeal.
